The X Factor 2016: Saara Aalto's fiancee is 'in love' with Nicole Scherzinger

Well, this has the potential to get pretty awkward…

X Factor hopeful, Saara Aalto, has revealed that her fiancee, Meri, is so “in love” with X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger that she had the star as her phone screensaver when she and Saara first met.

The singer was able to make Meri’s dreams come true over the weekend as she introduced her to the former Pussycat Doll, with the trio posing for a picture.

Saara has now confirmed that the picture of the three of them is Meri’s new screensaver, captioning the sweet snap with: “One of the best moments yesterday was when my fiancee @merisopanen met the love of her life @nicolescherzy

"When I first met my girl she had Nicole’s picture on her lock screen (that’s how much she loves her .. And I was a bit jealous). And now she has this as her lock screen..

"Everything is possible. EVERYTHING! Even if you are from a small town from Finland. Remember that @thexfactor #dreamsdocometrue #everythingispossible #xfactor #saaraaalto #nicolescherzinger”.

Saara and Meri already have a rather unconventional love story, with the Finnish hopeful originally dating a huge Finnish star, Teemu Roivainen, for nine years before meeting and falling for Meri - who was a big fan of Saara’s at the time.

Speaking to The Sun, Saara previously explained: “I was in The Voice of Finland in 2012 and my girlfriend — fiancée now — watched the show, liked me a lot and sent me a fan message through Facebook.

"She wrote, ‘I have never, ever sent a message like this to anybody, but I just had this intuition that I have to send this to you.’ I was like, ‘That’s so cute’, and thought, ‘What a nice-looking girl.’

"Then, after a year, she actually came to my concert and we met. We started talking and realised we just shared the same view of life and everything.

The pair dated for two years before the engagement this year, with Saara insisting that she is still good friends with Teemu who she dated from the age of 15.
