It’s the social media craze that’s sweeping the internet, and now The Xtra Factor has jumped in on the viral trend by taking part in the Mannequin Challenge for the first time ever on LIVE TV.

In case you’ve completely missed the trending hashtags, the challenge requires participants to stand motionless, as someone films the entire scene, winding a camera through the area to capture the hilarious poses.
The Xtra Factor hosts Rylan Clark-Neal and Matt Edmondson, as well as the show’s guests, crew and remaining X Factor contestants composed an epic scene on Sunday night, completely live.
5 After Midnight, Matt Terry and Saara Aalto were situated in various positions, as Honey G pulled one of her famous gangsta rap poses alongside Rylan and Matt who were getting up-close-and-personal with one another.
Matt joked after the break: “It’s just sort of flared-up a bit.”

Speaking of composure, Sam Lavery managed to hold back her emotions after she became the latest contestant to be eliminated from the competition following a tense sing-off with Ryan Lawrie.
As she learned of her fate, she gracefully said: “Thank you, Simon [Cowell]… I look like a completely different person from my first audition – but for all the right reasons. Thank you all so much.”
The X Factor continues next Saturday on ITV1 at 8pm.
