Theft of tools from van parked overnight in Cobham
Tools have been stolen from a van which was parked overnight in Cobham. Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after the incident on Tuesday (November 26).

Elmbridge Beat of Surrey Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a theft of tools from a van parked overnight at the Hilton International Hotel in Cobham on Tuesday (26 November). Vans are often targeted by thieves for the tools stored inside.

"If you have to leave them in a van overnight, it’s a good idea to mark them clearly with your name or company name and address. Items that are clearly marked are less desirable as they are more difficult to sell on.
"You can also take photos of high-value items, make a note of serial numbers and consider registering them online at a property register site."
Borough Commander, Lucy Marriott said: “Nationally tool theft is a major problem. We would urge all trades and private workers to register their items with the tool companies, mark your tools or even fit trackers. All these things give us a greater chance of reuniting you with your tools should they be stolen.”
