Theresa May spotted marshalling 10k Easter race in Maidenhead

Theresa May was spotted cheering on runners in a hi-vis yellow jacket while marshalling an Easter race in her constituency.

The Prime Minister handed out water and directed competitors at the Easter 10k run in Maidenhead on Good Friday.

She was seen laughing with locals and even shared a high-five with one participant in the race, which she attended with her husband Philip.

Mrs May returned from her holiday in Wales on Thursday ahead of Parliament’s return from recess on Tuesday.

MPs will continue working towards solving the Brexit deadlock and are expected get a new vote on a customs union in a few weeks.

Sir Ivan Rogers said on Wednesday that he was a "little bit surprised" the UK was not further down the Brexit process.

The former ambassador to Brussels said the public still do not know what the Prime Minister thinks, and would not say if he would vote for her deal if he was an MP, saying it was "difficult to see a path through" the current negotiations to a short-term solution.
