“They're taking our home away from us”: Dreamer discusses what it’s like to be caught in political battle

As members of the House and Senate scramble to avoid a government shutdown, the status of nearly 800,000 DACA recipients hangs in the balance. If an agreement is not reached, Dreamers across the country may face deportation starting March 5, a deadline set by President Trump when he moved to end the DACA program in September 2017. Yahoo News spoke with Juan Carlos, a Dreamer and activist working with the Seed Project, about what it’s like to have his status in the United States decided by partisan politics.
