Smash-and-grab raiders drove into a Louis Vuitton shopfront before thieves ransacked the store in the early hours on Tuesday.

Police said a silver Ford Transit van was driven into the luxury shop which sells high-end designer wares in Knightsbridge just before 1am.

Dramatic footage obtained by the Sun shows a van repeatedly bash into a shop window in Sloane Street before thieves lurking outside crawl inside.

The robbers are then seen to emerge armed with sacks before they escaped on mopeds following the brazen two-minute raid.

Detectives in Kensington and Chelsea are investigating. The value of the heist is not known at this stage.

A police spokesperson said: “Police were informed at 12:50am on Tuesday, January 24 that there was a burglary in progress at a Louis Vuitton shop

“Officers attended and discovered a silver Ford Transit van had been driven into the front of the shop and left at the scene

“A number of suspects were reported to have entered the shop and removed goods.

“The suspect then made off on mopeds. The value of the items stolen is not known at this time.”

No arrests have been made.

The Evening Standard has approached Louis Vuitton for comment.

The same store was targeted by burglars in July 2015 when fourteen handbags worth £50,000 were snatched in a 3am raid after the glass front door was smashed.

Blackfriars Crown Court heard almost all of them were recovered less than 24 hours later.
