Thieving Bear Breaks Into Car and Takes Off With Bag

A hungry black bear pulled off a brazen daytime heist, breaking into a car and casually taking off with a plastic bag in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, in early October.

Melanie Thomas was a witness to the thievery, and told Storyful she and a friend were staying at a cabin in the area.

“We could see a bear a few streets over trying to open car doors, and he got one open,” Thomas said.
