Third Arrest Made After 26-Year-Old Killed on Christmas Eve

Merseyside Police have arrested a third suspect in Tranmere, UK, following the killing of 26-year-old Elle Edwards at a pub in Wallasey on December 24.

Footage shared by Merseyside Police show the arrest late on Wednesday, December 28. Officers can be seen entering the front and back of a residential address before leading a person to a waiting police car.

Merseyside Police said on Thursday that they had arrested a 31-year-old man from Tranmere on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

It follows the arrests on December 26 of a 30-year-old man from Tranmere on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, and a 19-year-old woman from Rock Ferry on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. Both are being questioned by officers from Merseyside Police.

Elle Edwards was shot dead on the Lighthouse Inn in Wallasey late on December 24. The investigation into her death is ongoing.

Local media, citing police, reported that Edwards was likely not the intended target of the Christmas Eve shooting. Credit: Merseyside Police via Storyful
