Third St Mirren player departs club following court appearance
A St Mirren player who admitted getting behind the wheel as a banned driver on two occasions – two days apart – has left the club by “mutual consent”.
Defender Jaden Brown admitted driving a car on July 11 in Glasgow’s Springfield Quay while already being banned from getting behind the wheel.
Just two days later, Brown, of Station House Drive in Johnstone, got behind the wheel of a car again and drove as a disqualified driver in Renfrew’s Abbotsinch Road.

The 25-year-old, who signed a two-year contract extension in the summer having initially joined on loan from Sky Bet League One side Lincoln City in January, also accepted that he drove on July 11 without any insurance.
Paisley Sheriff Court recently heard Brown’s original driving ban was imposed after he had been convicted of drink-driving.
St Mirren announced this afternoon Brown had left the club by “mutual consent” and added: “Jaden will now return to England to be closer to his family. The club will make no further comment.”
