This Drone Footage Of Sheep Being Herded Is Utterly Hypnotic

This beautiful drone footage of sheep being herded will leave you hypnotised.

Photographer Tim Whittaker filmed the animals being moved from one paddock to another on a farm in New Zealand.

It’s an everyday task from farmers – but this aerial video, set to ambient music, is anything but mundane.

From above, the sheep are seen moving in majestic, bird-like formations across green meadows.

The utterly captivating footage was filmed from above a Hawke’s Bay farm and has since gone viral.

Whittaker said he is the only video drone operator in the area to be certified by the Civil Aviation Authority – so had a unique opportunity.

He said he took the footage while completing an assignment for Beef & Lamb NZ, an industry marketing agency.

He said: “The original brief was to get stills but I just thought [the sheep make] crazy patterns from the sky, so I may as well just run some video while we’re doing it.”
