Yahoo News Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby try not to panic as fire alarm goes off in 'This Morning' studio
This Morning presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby did their best to remain calm after a fire alarm went off in the studio.
The ITV daytime show was broadcasting live on Wednesday (March 25) when a silent fire alarm began flashing a warning, sparking some concern for the hosts.
Schofield, 57, told viewers: "We should explain that if we go off... talk about holding on by your fingertips here...

"There's now a fire alarm with amber lights going off at the moment. We know what it means, we don't have to evacuate, but if we suddenly go off that's why."

Willoughby, 39, added: "We're safe for the moment so we're going along with the guidelines."
Schofield said: "Keep calm and carry on", while a worried Willougby added: "OK, that's what they keep telling us."
The show cut to a pre-recorded clip about a competition and when it returned Schofield reassured viewers: "It was a false alarm. Stand down! It was steam in the cleaner's cupboard. Stop doing this to us...

"It's up and down it's up and down."
The TV presenters are already under pressure as they continue to host the show with a stripped back staff and film crew ins response to the lockdown imposed to limit the spread of coronavirus.
Guests and co-presenters are appearing via video-link and Willoughby and Schofield must keep at least two metres apart in accordance with government guidelines.
