This Morning fans want Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle as full-time hosts

The summer holiday relief presenters are proving more popular than the main ITV show stars with some viewers.

This Morning fans are calling for yet another presenter shake-up as they have been saying they prefer Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle to the show's main stars.

ITV's daytime chat show sees its main hosts take an extended break each summer, with a series of relief presenters coming in each week to cover for them.

Some familiar faces have been back in the studio so far this summer and this week's duo has proved the most popular so far as viewers welcomed back Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle.

In fact, many fans of the presenters called the pair their favourites and asked them to take over full time.

One viewer commented: "Craig & Josie are definitely the best presenters. They have chemistry and have a laugh without getting stupid and giggly...They knock spots off Ben & Cat."

Someone else agreed: "Great to see Josie and Craig back hosting, just give them the permanent job already" and another fan wrote: "nice to see Craig and Josie back , they are such a good pairing , should be on more often."

Earlier this year, Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley were named as This Morning's new presenters following the departure of Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, and a lengthy period of trying out new hosts. Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary are the Friday show presenters.

As Doyle and Gibson were confirmed for more shows, one fan wrote: "Yay! Craig and Josie next week" and someone else added: "Please can we have Josie and Craig full time as presenters."

One person commented: "Absolutely love Craig and Josie on this morning my faves", while someone else agreed: "Craig and Josie are the dream team" and another fan added: "love josie and Craig more than alison and dermot tbh..."

This Morning's summer relief presenting line-up has also seen show regular Rochelle Humes return to the studio, hosting earlier this week alongside O'Leary.

Other TV presenters who guested on the show before Shephard and Deeley were signed up included Rylan Clark, Vernon Kay, Sian Welby and Mollie King.

This Morning airs on ITV1 at 10am on weekdays.
