'This Morning' viewers get the giggles as presenters stage cheeky panto
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield brought the Christmas cheer as they staged an innuendo-packed panto on This Morning.
With so many festive shows disrupted by the coronavirus pandemic, the presenters decided to perform their own Christmassy show for viewers.
The production saw Willoughby as Cinderella in a stunning, pale blue dress, while Schofield played Buttons. Alison Hammond was the fairy godmother and Christopher Biggins was a cook, while the evil stepmother was played by Joanna Lumley.
Now this is something we never thought we'd hear on #ThisMorning 😂

Viewers said they couldn’t contain the giggles as the group searched for Dick Whittington, with Willoughby declaring there was “still no sign of d***”.

There were also some tongue-in-cheek sausage jokes and a quip about taking “a leak”.
The shenanigans went down a storm with fans of the ITV show.
“Omg the panto on #ThisMorning is so funny. The innuendo is so close to the mark. How many times they can mention ‘d***’ is so funny,” one person posted on Twitter.
“Phillip Schofield shouting ‘D***’ on morning tv is just peak 2020,” said another.
“This is killing me. It’s so bad it’s hilarious,” said one.
Sheridan Smith and Shane Richie were also among those who turned up, with Smith as Peter Pan and the EastEnders star as a Prince.
And This Morning presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford left everyone feeling warm and fuzzy when they put in a jolly appearance as Santa and Mrs Claus.
“As a grown 33 year old woman I cannot get enough of this panto, welled up when @EamonnHolmes came on as Santa,” one person tweeted.
“Awww now I’m happy! I love Eamonn & Ruth!” said another.

Some fans couldn’t help mentioning that the much-loved pair have been replaced by Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.
Next year Hammond and O'Leary will take over from the duo on Fridays, and the husband and wife team will now only host the programme during key holidays.
One person commented after their panto scene: “At least Eammon and Ruth got their 5 minutes of fame.
“They weren't completely pushed out today.”
