Pretty Boy the cat acted as midwife for a pregnant goat and it was too adorable

A midwife can be an invaluable person to have around for pregnant women before they give birth – and it’s no different for goats.

But Copper, who is expecting her kids in the near future, doesn’t have a human or even a goat midwife – she has her very own cat.

The moggy, named Pretty Boy, has taken something of a shine to Copper, who lives at a farm in West Virginia.

In fact, Pretty Boy acts as a masseuse and is helping Copper out as she readies herself to give birth.

Cat rescue group Operation Fancy Free wrote on Facebook: “Copper the goat is due to deliver babies any time now.

“Pretty Boy thinks he’s a midwife and is massaging Copper through her contractions trying to help Copper have her babies.”

The cat is a one-goat midwife – he is apparently ignoring all the other pregnant goats on the farm to devote all his attention to Copper.

The goat has now given birth to two boys and one girl – and she couldn’t have done it without Pretty Boy!
