Terrified fisherman in Russia reeled in a scary-looking fish with razor sharp teeth that can rip off a man’s testicles with a single bite.

The piranha-like Pacu - dubbed the nut cracker - was caught in a city centre park in the the town of Tula, which is around 150 miles from Moscow.

Usually Pacu are found in South America, but this fearsome-looking creature, with teeth that look almost human, may have ended up in Russia thanks to an exotic pet collector.

‘The fish has been confiscated from the fisherman and sent for examination,’ Tula city spokeswoman Varvara Trunova said.

‘According to the preliminary findings the Pacu fish is 20 centimetres long and weighs 240 grams.’

Experts believe the fish may have been an exotic pet that was abandoned in the lake when it grew too large.

Now officials are worried that a pair might have been dumped together and begun breeding.

But the fish’s bizarre teeth have become the butt of jokes from local social media users.

One called ‘Kartman’ said: ‘They need to put golden crowns on its teeth and then let the fish back to the pond.’

Another - ‘Rosario Argo’ - added: ‘Based on the footage the fish has decay on the fourth tooth.’
