Thomas Cohen's New Album Was Inspired By Wife Peaches Geldof's Death

Thomas Cohen was left devastated in April 2014 when his wife, and the mother of his two children, Peaches Geldof died of a heroin overdose in their family home.

Now the 25-year-old is gearing up for the release of his new solo album, admitting that he was “inspired” by Peaches’ death.

The record, entitled ‘Bloom Forever’, was Thomas’ way of coping with his loss, with the musician channeling his grief into his creativity.

Speaking of Peaches’ death, Thomas explained: “It didn’t feel wrong to write a whole record about it.

"I started out wanting to do something in the vein of the musicians I love from the seventies. Listen to John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band - it’s painful, it’s brutal, it’s so honest.”

He added to The Mirror that the Geldof family are still to give his album their seal of approval, sharing: “Nobody has said I’ve done this great thing or had any opinion on it.

"I was conscious I was making an entirely unfashionable, out-of-touch record that is really f*cking weird. But that’s what I am. Sir Bob with nothing to say? Hell must have frozen over.”

Thomas is currently dating supermodel Daisy Lowe.
