Thomas Creek Fire Burns Over 2,000 Acres in British Columbia

The Thomas Creek Fire near Skaha Lake in British Columbia reached an estimated 900 hectares (2,200 acres) on July 12, with the BC Wildfire Service classifying the blaze as “out of control.”

As of July 12, the BC Wildfire Service had downgraded its evacuation orders for the area to an evacuation alert.
