Thousands Evacuated as Migrating Elephants Continue Journey Through Yunnan Province

A migrating herd of elephants that has been moving through an area in Yunnan Province, China prompted the evacuation of over 4,000 people on July 7 and 8, according to authorities.

Over one ton of food was given to the animals, and precautions have been taken to ensure their safety as they continue their journey through China.

Nearly 200 emergency vehicles have been deployed to assist the local people, and their special visitors.
