Thousands of people took to the streets of Marseille, France, on Thursday, January 19, to support national strikes against government pension reforms, local media reported.
Footage recorded in central Marseille shows a large number of people marching on the Cours Lieutaud on Thursday.
French media, citing police, said that up to 750,000 people were expected to take to the streets after union calls for mass mobilization. Disruption to transportation and education was expected.
