Thousands March to Protest Government Retirement Bill in Macau
Thousands marched in Macau on Sunday, May 25, protesting a proposed bill which would see retired officials continued to be paid most of their salary. Organisers said as many as 20,000 people marched, while police estimated 7,000. The protestors marched from Tap Seac Square, past the government headquarters, to the Nam Van Lake Recreation Centre.
