Thousands of residents were forced to evacuate as the strongest floods in the past 40 years hit a city in northern China. Video shot in the city of Yuncheng in Shanxi Province on October 7 shows dozens of residents fleeing and floodwater submerging the fields and buildings. Over 100 households were affected and the direct financial loss was more than 16,000,000 yuan (£1,800,000). The video was provided by local media with permission.
