Three big changes coming to McDonald's UK restaurants in October
Big changes are being rolled out to McDonald’s menus in the UK. McDonald's, which is rivalled by the like sof KFC, Burger King, Subway and more, has said the changes are coming in October including a new breakfast item.
To celebrate the Monopoly 2024 launch the franchise added six new items to the menu. The promotion, which launched last month and is an annual tradition, which is based on the popular board game, will come to a halt on 11:59pm on October 16.
It means the seasonal food items will also be axed. McDonald's has confirmed an all-new breakfast item is set to arrive in stores this October, though. The last time Maccies switched up its breakfast menu was when it confirmed the Breakfast Wrap was returning in February of this year.

New items
The fast food chain is adding Mini Hash Browns to its menu - and says they are “perfect for those who love the classic McDonald’s Hash Brown”. They’ll be available in participating McDonald’s restaurants from October 16 in two different box sizes.
A single portion of Mini Hash Browns contains five pieces and will set you back £1.49 while a sharebox costs £2.99 and contains 15 pieces. The Mini Hash Browns will be available "while stocks last" during breakfast hours, between 6am to 11am at participating restaurants.
The iconic dish features two free-range eggs, a pork sausage patty, a slice of bacon, a crispy potato rosti and cheese. It is served in a tortilla wrap and comes with either ketchup or brown sauce. Again, this is only available during breakfast hours.
Axed items
Customers will have to wave goodbye to six menu items this coming October. These include Philly Cheese Stack, Chicken Big Mac, Mozzarella Dippers, Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry, Twix Caramel McFlurry and the Twix Latte.
The items were rolled out across stores on September 4, in conjunction with the return of McDonald's Monopoly. But when the game ends during the first week in October, these items will also be removed.
The fast food chain has just refreshed its menu and has added a new Twix Latte, which features a Twix flavour syrup, topped with caramel cream and crumbs of the chocolate bar on top. The comeback items also include its beloved Mozzarella Dippers and the Philly Cheese Stack.
These sticks of Mozzarella cheese are coated in breadcrumbs and served with Salsa dip, while the burger features two beef patties, grilled and crispy onions, cheese sauce, two cheddar cheese slices and pickles, all stuffed into a toasted bun. The Philly Cheese Stack contains two beef patties with a cheese sauce, two cheese slices, grilled and crispy onions and pickles served in a toasted bun.
Monopoly
There are still around two weeks left to play the game, which allows participants to peel stickers that represent train stations or colour-coordinated streets.
