'Three cheers!' How newspaper front pages covered the royal baby

The birth of the royal baby made the front page of most British newspapers today.

The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to the new prince – who weighed 8lbs 7oz – at 11:01am.

Pictured with the Duke of Cambridge, the pair smiled outside the Lindo Wing as they posed for the first photos with their newborn child.

Kensington Palace said: ‘The queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news.’

Here is how newspapers across Britain covered the event.
