Three Cleveland Cavaliers to Join LeBron James for Charity Game in Akron, Ohio

LeBron James will have a charity game in Akron, Ohio on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Rhodes Arena. Of course, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh will be at his side, but three Cleveland Cavaliers will also be on the court with the former King of Cleveland.

Manny Harris and Omri Casspi are scheduled to play, as is Tristan Thompson, a first-round draft pick for the Cavs.

"The roster includes James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Rudy Gay and Chris Bosh. Former Cleveland State guard Norris Cole, a Miami Heat draft pick, also is supposed to play," reports Cleveland.com. "The rest of the lineup includes: Jonny Flynn, Randy Foye, Cory Joseph, Jason Thompson and Terrico White."

All three of these Cavs have not played on the team with LeBron. Did he purposely not choose, say Gibson or Jamison? Possibly. Gibson and Jamison certainly have more experience and a fan following than the three who will play.

Thompson is a good choice because he is a rookie. I know I am curious to see how he fares against some of the best in the NBA. Kyrie Irving was rumored to take place in this game too, but it has since been said that he has a prior commitment. Having both of them in this game would have been interesting.

Manny Harris played for the Cavs last season. He had some decent plays, but just didn't get a lot of playing time. He just started last year, so he never played with James for the Cavs. Then, we just got Casspi, so he never played with James either.

Regardless, this game is for charity. I am not a huge LeBron fan myself, but I will put those feelings aside and remember that this is to raise money for those who do not have all that I have.

The charity game will be played on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets range from $40.00 to $160.00.
