Three Glasgow favourites making OpenTable’s Top 100 Restaurant list for 2024
An influential dining specialist website has just revealed its annual Top 100 Restaurants in the UK and three Glasgow spots have made the list.
With over half (59 per cent) of Brits planning to dine out more next year, OpenTable’s Top 100 Restaurants in the UK 2024 list for diners, by diners, is here to help people decide what hotspot to discover next. This year's list has included two of Glasgow's best known eateries and a lesser known spot that's well worth the trip .
Both the Butchershop Bar and Grill in Finnieston and Number 16 on Byres Road were highlighted as well as Little SoHo in Jordanhill, with all three named as being among the best in the UK.

The list is compiled by analysing more than 900,000 diner reviews, along with diner ratings, reservation demand, percentage of five-star reviews among other factors, and features a diverse list of restaurants perfect for any occasion.
Vice President of International Growth at OpenTable, Laure Bornet, said: “Our Top 100 Restaurant list highlights a breadth of diner favourites in the UK - from neighbourhood gems like Ciullõsteria in London to award-winning spots like Opheem in Birmingham.
“Whether Brits are looking for a spontaneous midweek meal or festive feast, we hope diners use the list as a source of inspiration for local spots and their UK travels, this year and next.”
As well as the annual Top 100, they've also picked out the hottest dining trends of 2024 and serving what’s on the dining scene horizon for 2025. Their research revealed that 59 per cent of Brits plan to dine out more frequently in 2025, with 58 per cent expecting to spend more on restaurant dining than they did in 2024.
They also found three major trends including midweek dining out seeing an increase, early bird dining and people planning on spending more when they dine out in future.
Laure added: “We're seeing a shift in UK dining habits. Brits are breaking away from traditional patterns by embracing earlier dinner times and mid-week dining, which is good news for restaurants as these times can be typically quieter.
"According to new research, these trends are set to continue into 2025 - whether it's a Wednesday evening tasting menu or an early dinner with colleagues, diners are mixing it up and creating their own dining prime time.”
