Three injured when car crashed into bungalow 'while manoeuvring'

The Mercedes ploughed through the wall of the bungalow in Killamarsh, Derbyshire, on Easter Monday.

Three people were left injured after a car ploughed through the wall of a bungalow on Easter Monday.

The black Mercedes crashed into a property in Killamarsh, Derbyshire, just before 11am on Monday, 10 April, while 'manoeuvring', police said.

Derbyshire Constabulary said two women aged 64 and 43, who were inside the address on The Bungalows, off Sheffield Road, suffered leg injuries and were treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.

The driver of the vehicle, a 61-year-old man, suffered minor injuries in the crash and was also treated at the scene.

Police said the collision caused severe structural damage to the bungalow.

Sharing an image of the building with the car sticking through its wall online, Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit said: "Occupants injured when car crashes through the wall whilst manoeuvring trapping two of them."

The force is now appealing for any witnesses to the collision, or anyone who may have any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident.
