Three men arrested following the Parsons Green terror attack have been released by police.

Two men, aged 25 and 30, who were arrested in Newport following the explosion, and a 20-year-old man detained in Cardiff, have since been released, Scotland Yard said.

Seven people in total were arrested as part of the Met’s counter-terrorism investigation into the attack on a District Line Tube train on September 15.

Ahmed Hassan, 18, was charged, but the six other men have all now been released with no further action to be taken by police.

Hassan appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday September 22, and was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, October 13.

Thirty people were injured when the bomb went off on a Tube, travelling from Wimbledon, at Parsons Green station.

Counter terrorism officers are still searching a property in Cardiff in relation to the incident, Scotland Yard added.
