Three men have been arrested after a BB gun was fired at a car on Blackpool Promenade.

Police were called to reports of an incident in Shaw Road shortly after 9.45pm on Friday (September 20). Officers found a BB gun had been fired from an Audi A3 in the direction of a Mercedes on the Promenade.

A short time later, the gun was again fired from inside the Audi, causing damage to the Mercedes, Lancs Live reports.

Three men, aged 21 and two aged 22, have been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent. They remain in police custody.

No one was injured in the incident. Officers say they do not believe there is any wider threat to the public.

Lancashire Constabulary have now issued a public appeal, and officers want to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dash cam or CCTV footage from the time it happened.
