Three more arrests following Southport violent disorder

Three more people have been arrested in connection with the violent disorder which erupted in Southport following the deaths of three girls at a school holiday club.

Merseyside Police have now arrested a 45-year-old man from Bradford on suspicion of violent disorder in Southport after the scenes on July 30. He will be spoken to later today (November 7, 2024).

A 16-year-old boy from Ainsdale was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder, burglary and criminal damage in Southport. A 17-year-old boy from Bootle was also arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

These boys have been released on conditional bail. Merseyside Police are still trying to identify a number of people they want to speak to in connection with disorder. Merseyside Police have a gallery of images of people they are trying to identify on their website.
