Three-year-old girl rushed to hospital after being hit by a car

A three-year-old girl was taken into hospital this morning, after being hit by a car in Hockley. Before 10am, a crash was reported to the emergency services, who attended the scene. While an air ambulance was sent to the scene, they were not needed, and the child was taken to hospital by ambulance.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called just after 9.55am with reports of a collision between a car and a young girl on Broadlands Road in Hockley. An ambulance, ambulance officer vehicle and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were sent to the scene. The girl was transported by road to The Royal London Hospital for treatment for a leg injury.”

The current condition of the girl is unclear at the time of writing. Essex police have been contacted for comment.
