Three young men sought after double-decker bus is set on fire in Bristol
Police are asking for help to identify three young men they wish to speak to in connection with a suspected arson attack which destroyed a double-decker bus in Bristol.
The incident took place on November 26, 2023, in the Stockwood area of south Bristol, at around 4pm in the afternoon - with the driver of the Number 2 double-decker bus, running between Cribbs Causeway and Stockwood, realising the vehicle was on fire as it came to its final stop in The Coots.
Thankfully, no-one was injured or required hospital treatment but the blaze was treated as a deliberate act, with officers opening an investigation the following day and appealing for witnesses to the incident, which left the top deck of the bus almost completely gutted by the fire.

And now, more than nine months on, police have released images of three young men they are hoping to identify in connection with the fire. A police spokesperson said: "We have previously appealed for witnesses to aid our enquiries and would now like to speak with the three individuals pictured.
"The individuals pictured, who are all thought to be teenagers, are white, two of whom have short, light brown hair, and are wearing black coats."
Anyone who can help should contact 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5223289324, or fill out an online appeals form.
In a statement after the incident last year, an Avon Fire and Rescue spokesperson also said: "On Sunday 26th November at 16:08hrs, crews from Temple, Kingswood and Hicks Gate were mobilised to reports of a bus fire on The Coots, Stockwood.
"Upon arrival, crews found one double-decker bus on fire. One high-pressure hose reel and three breathing apparatus were used to help extinguish the fire. The cause is thought to be deliberate."
