A thrill-seeker has shared shocking footage of him base-jumping from a London tower block.

British base jumper Sean Nolan posted a video on social media of the moment he jumped from the edge of the 200ft building in London.

Armed with a parachute and a helmet, Mr Nolan gives the 'OK’ hand gesture before pushing himself off the edge of the tower block.

Alongside the hashtags #basejumpingisnotacrime and #noregrets, the thrill-seeker’s post shows him rapidly dropping to the ground before landing on the tarmac below.

Mr Nolan has previously posted videos of himself jumping from other buildings in London and in locations around the world, including Monte Brento in Italy.

A spokesman for Scotland Yard said the jumping featured in the Instagram post is not an offence in itself but said there are “various civil or criminal offences relating to property”.

The police spokesman did not comment further.
