Game of Thrones delivered yet another spectacular episode this week, as Jon Snow led a team beyond the wall to capture a wight.

But things got off to a rocky start when an undead polar bear brutally roughed up the group, including Thoros (RIP).

It's a credit to the special effects team that the bear looked genuinely ferocious, because behind the scenes, the beast took a completely different form.

How ridiculous did it look? This ridiculous:

Rawr!

Though to be honest, anything on fire is rather terrifying up close. Case in point:

Although at the same time, anything in green Lycra appears a teensy bit less threatening:

'Beyond the Wall' got a lot of fans talking. In fact, there's a fan theory going around which speculates that the Night King had actually set a trap for Jon Snow.

The Night King ended up killing one of Daenerys' dragons (RIP Viserion), with the final scene showing it being raised from the dead and joining the undead army.

Game of Thrones season seven concludes next Sunday (August 27) with a movie-length finale at 9pm on HBO in the US. It will be simulcast at 2am on Sky Atlantic on Monday (August 28) in the UK.
