This footage was captured by Twitter user @deemishell, who said they recorded it from their home in northwest Turlock, Stanislaus County, on Tuesday morning.

Almost all of California saw rainfall totals of between 400 and 600 percent above average values “over the past several weeks”, according to the the National Weather Service (NWS) early Tuesday.

Heavy rain, hail and strong winds would move through the area, with roadway flooding likely, as residents woke up, the NWS warned.

By Tuesday morning, over 205,000 residents in California were without power, according to PowerOutage.us. Credit: @deemishell via Storyful
