Yahoo News Tia Mowry Just Launched a Can't-Miss, Limited Edition Home Collection With Etsy
In the first of an upcoming series of tastemaker collaborations, Etsy just launched a stylish new limited edition decor collection with actress and entrepreneur Tia Mowry-Hardrict. The line is all about creating a calm-but-cozy, minimalist aesthetic at home--one much like the star's personal decor style.
The Tia Mowry x Etsy collection was co-designed by Mowry-Hardrict and nine different Etsy sellers, and it encompasses everything from throw pillows and candles to tableware and wall art. It all sticks to a neutral color scheme of black and white, with soft matte finishes and subtle, textural details like tassels and leather handles. That texture, Mowry-Hardrict says, is key to keeping things interesting even in a minimalist space.
"Like pattern, texture is another easy way to add visual interest to a space, and I love how many different materials and finishes exist harmoniously within the collection," she explained in an Etsy blog post announcing the collection. "Playing around with different textures within a cohesive color scheme is a great way to preserve that minimalist vibe without things getting boring."

The inspiration behind the collection came from Mowry-Hardrict's own home life. "Sunday is my favorite day of the week because it's the day that my family regularly makes time to cook and enjoy a meal together," Mowry-Hardrict said in a press release. "When co-designing this collection, I wanted to create items that elevated and encouraged these small, precious, everyday moments."
The Tia Mowry x Etsy collection is a stunning way to kick off these new collabs, which will include upcoming collections from TV personality and home renovator JoJo Fletcher, Queer Eye star and fashion designer Tan France, and UK lifestyle brand Zoella. Collections from Elsie Larson and Emma Chapman (the lifestyle mavens behind A Beautiful Mess), German author and social media artist Ana Johnson, cookbook author Tieghan Gerard of Half Baked Harvest, and more. Each limited edition collection will include a co-designed selection of pieces for the Fall or holiday season, in categories ranging from gifts and home decor to kids' products, entertaining essentials, and beyond.
