TICKETS will go on sale next week for a music festival returning to Christchurch for the first time in four years.

Christchurch Music Festival will take to the Christchurch Quay from Friday, 21 July to Sunday, 23 July.

Tickets for the festival go on sale on Friday, 31 March, with limited tickets being available.

The owners of the Thomas Tripp pub were granted the rights for the festival after having been previously run by a group of Christchurch town volunteers.

The three-day event will feature an impressive line-up with a mix of talented local musicians and tribute acts including Rat Race, an Oasis tribute band, BB3 – a soul and funk group, We Are Robot, Lloyd McGuigan, award-winning singer Millie Watson plus up and coming artist Archie Ray.

Live music will not be the only feature at the festival however, with many activities for the whole family to enjoy as well as a dedicated KidZone for children of all ages with the entertainment including local children’s entertainers, dancers, face painters and more.

There will also be a sensory tent where noise levels are kept to a minimum in order to provide a calm and peaceful environment for those who need a break from the noise to come to and chill out.

The festival has chosen Helping Homeless Veterans UK as its charity this year, which has been described as "a truly brilliant charity in which 100 per cent of all public donations are spent directly helping our country’s homeless veterans".

As well as there being an incentive to buy the tickets before the end of April as they will be entered into a draw with the option to win a £50 voucher to spend at the Thomas Tripp, as well as a day out on the boats with ice cream, courtesy of Tuckton Tea Gardens and Bournemouth Boating services.

The organisers promise the festival to be an "unforgettable" experience.
