Get ready to don your lederhosen and dirndls and raise a stein, because an Oktoberfest celebration that claims to be the biggest the UK has ever seen is coming to Clapham Common this October. Oktoberfest on the Common is set to welcome over 17,500 beer and sausage lovers across seven raucous sessions from Friday, October 11, to Saturday, October 19, cementing its status as the largest outdoor Oktoberfest event in the country.

Attendees will be able to enjoy Bavarian classic food from traditional bratwurst and spicy currywurst to gluten-free and vegan options, while an estimated 35,000 litres of beer are set to be served up over the festival.

The festival, which bills itself as the UK’s biggest Oktoberfest, will serve an array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, while live brass bands will play traditional Bavarian music and entertainment, as well as funfair rides and stage games, keg-tapping, photo booths and games.

General admission tickets start from £31.50 for the ‘Super Early Brewer’ session, which guarantees entry. Those looking to make it a group session can treat themselves to a VIP table of six from just £37.50 per person, including reserved seating with table service and fast-track entry. Tickets can be purchased Skiddle or Oktoberfest on the Common’s site at www.oktoberfestonthecommon.com
