Tija Urbomaite: PSNI issue appeal for missing teenager last seen on Friday

Police are appealing for help in locating a teenage girl who last seen on Friday.

The PSNI issued a social media appeal on Saturday evening looking for information on the whereabouts of Tija Urbomaite who was last seen in the Newry area on September 20th. Officers say they are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.

Tija is 13 years old and is thought to be possibly wearing a black tracksuit and was last seen in the Drumalane Road area at around 2pm on Friday.

A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "We are currently attempting to locate 13 year old Tija Urbomaite. Tija was last seen in the Drumalane Road area of Newry at 2pm on Friday 20/09/24. Tija is described as White. 5'5" in height, Black hair with Red streaks, nose and lips pierced. Last seen possibly wearing a Black tracksuit.

“We hope that some of Tija’s friends will have seen her over the weekend and can help. We are appealing to anyone with information in respect of her whereabouts to contact us on 101 or via psni.police/report, quoting serial 1396 20/09/24.”
