TikToker dumbfounded by puppy's 'unreal' daycare experience: 'My whole family screamed'

When Natasha Serrano enrolled her 1-year-old dog, Ryder, in puppy daycare at the end of July, the experience totally exceeded her expectations and resulted in a viral TikTok video.

Serrano was worried that Ryder wasn’t being social enough during quarantine so she brought him to Springdale Pet Ranch in Arroyo Grande, Calif. to test it out.

At first, Serrano told BuzzFeed News that Ryder was “so scared to go in and crying” when she dropped him off for his first day. But then everything turned around.

“So they literally make report cards,” Serrano says in the TikTok. The report cards include descriptions of Ryder’s demeanor, his behavior and, most importantly, the names and breeds of his new friends.

“My whole family screamed reading the report because it seems so unreal,” she told BuzzFeed.

Serrano explained that Ryder has only gone to the daycare twice, but owners can request report cards for every visit.

In the caption of the TikTok, Serrano added that the staff had asked if she had packed him a lunch.

“He literally has more friends than me, I mean look at his little squad,” Serrano says, looking at photos of Ryder and his posse that were sent to her along with the report card.
