Social media sensation Francis Bourgeois has delighted fans in Glasgow by sharing a video of his visit to the city's famous Subway.

The viral TikTok star, who became famous thanks to his joyful videos featuring his love of trains, was happy to film himself at what appears to be West Street Station, just as both the outer and inner circle line trains appear.

In the fun clip, which has had over 130k likes, the railway enthusiast and mechanical engineer then jokes that taller people might want to duck when entering the trains for the first time, stating: "For someone who is 6ft3 like me, you really have to mind your head when you are getting onboard the second generation stock."

It may seem strange to view what is so commonplace to Glaswegians through the eyes of someone who is appreciating it for the first time - and who knows what he is talking about.

Complimenting the "wonderful" burgundy seat patterns, and "rather convenient footstool", the star was happy to show off the orange train cars to his viewers who might never have ridden on "one of the smallest subways in the world".

He added that in the driver car is "ergonomic beauty is at its finest", stating: "Brushed steel handrails, brown leather topped seats and a seat Marquette pattern that pairs perfectly with the laminate flooring. Just look at that classic 1980s colour palette."

Jumping off at Kelvinbridge, he bids farewell to the "Metro Cammell beauties", which we assume are the trains, before enjoying the "fantastic electrical discharge" to finish off.

Hilariously, he then heads to the park where he finishes off the clip in typical Francis style, by showing a random squirrel eating a biscuit over the River Kelvin.

The official Glasgow Underground account responded: "Thanks for travelling with us, Francis. Great to have you onboard."

A fan added: "I loved everything about this including Francis’ lovely and well put together outfit. Calming and comforting vibes in the midst of a stressful day."

Another posted: "I have never heard the Underground described in such loving terms and I have lived in Glasgow for many, many years."
