Oscar-winning actor Tilda Swinton is known for embracing unique looks across her many roles but she has never looked more unrecognisable than on-set for her latest film.

The remake of Dario Argento's 1977 horror classic Suspiria is filming under the guide of Swinton's A Bigger Splash director Luca Guadagnino.

As you can see in the images below, taken on the film's set in Berlin, the look ranks easily above The Grand Budapest Hotel and Trainwreck as her most unrecognisable role to date.

Swinton, who won an Oscar for Michael Clayton in 2008, was recently revealed to be the bookies' surprise favourite to replace Peter Capaldi as the Doctor in BBC series Doctor Who.

Suspiria's cast is comprised of a female ensemble including Fifty Shades of Grey actor Dakota Johnson, Chloë Grace Moretz and A Cure for Wellness' Mia Goth. The film's original star Jessica Harper will also appear.

Swinton's next projects include Netflix films War Machine with Brad Pitt and monster movie Okja alongside Jake Gyllenhaal.
