Tim Lovejoy admits he thought 'we'll get rid' when he first met co-star
Sunday Brunch presenter Tim Lovejoy confessed that he initially wanted to 'get rid' of co-host Helen Chamberlain when they first teamed up on Soccer AM.
The pair, who are well-known for their decade-long stint on Soccer AM, have recently reunited for a brand new podcast, Soccer A-Z, after a hiatus from television.
Discussing their latest venture, Tim and Helen made an appearance on ITV's popular daytime programme This Morning, where they joined Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.
Reflecting on their initial collaboration, Tim confessed that he had preconceived notions about Helen, which were quickly dispelled once she proved him wrong, reports the Express.
Ben revealed: "Tim I didn't realise this but when you first joined Soccer AM, Helen already did one season and then they brought you in and you were thinking right 'I'm not sure about this Helen'."

Tim conceded: "Yeah I did. I was working with a guy called Andy and we came in to produce the show and the first thing I thought was 'we'll get rid of Helen because all she is doing is reading out the traffic and weather reports'."
Helen interjected with a joke: "There are cones on the M8." The group erupted into laughter as Tim continued: "Then I met her and I was like 'aw she knows more football than me' not only that but she is a really good presenter."
Helen added: "Tim came in from behind the scene of the big breakfast so he's come in and is like 'who is this, she just goes to commercial breaks and talks about cones'."
She elaborated: "But then he realised after a couple of weeks when I was hitting the countdown in my ear on the zero. All of the little scuffs and hiccups that you always make when you're first on TV."
Before she could finish her sentence, Tim started laughing and added: "Well I'm still making them." Elsewhere in the show, Cat asked the pair what it was like to be working together again. Tim admitted: "It has been really good."
Helen revealed: "We have kept in touch over the 28 years but mainly over Whatsapp and texts." Rounding off the interview she joked: "But I forgot how mean he is to me instantly."
