Tim Walter calls for Hull City patience after manic summer transfer window
Tim Walter declared himself content with the club's transfer business after a manic end to the transfer window saw the club bring in a total of 16 new players.
After a sluggish start to the summer with only Ryan Giles arriving followed by Cody Drameh, City burst into life during a frenetic and at times, chaotic August with 13 players arriving from Marvin Mehlem on the first day of the month to four coming in on deadline day at the end of the month.
Since the window slammed shut at 11pm on August 30, ex-Brighton and Hove Albion ace Steven Alzate has joined the club to complete what has been a summer of mammoth change at the MKM Stadium following an exodus of 20-plus players and former manager Liam Rosenior.

Those new players are yet to influence results with the Tigers beaten again on Friday night against Sheffield United with Mohamed Belloumi and Abu Kamara making their debuts, while Fin Burns was handed a first league start, though the German boss felt it was the best display of the season far.
Walter's relaxed feeling around the club's transfer business is a far cry from his very obvious frustration in the final days of pre-season when he was forced to operate with a wafer-thin squad, and one clearly not ready for the rigours of Championship football.
The German, however, now has options all over the park, perhaps excluding up front where City still feel concerningly light after being unable to bring in a replacement for Oscar Estupinan. But Walter says he's happy with the work done in his first window working with Tan Kesler and new head of recruitment Jared Dublin.
"We can't change it right now, and I'm really happy with the squad I have. You can always do it better, but it's the first period. It's our first window, so it's hard because it's a start from scratch," Walter told Hull Live.
"We lost a lot of players and we brought in a lot of players, a lot of new players, and they need the time. The foreign players - they are new in the country and I can say it as well because I'm a foreigner. For me, it's even hard to learn the new culture, and to work with a new mentality, everything is different and that needs time.
"They are all open to doing it, and it's good to see it. We have a good mixture, especially between the English and the foreign players. It's good to have and it's a lot of fun every day."
Two of the club's most eye-catching signings were perhaps wingers Abu Kamara and Mohamed Belloumi, both of whom operate on the right flank. And Walter was impressed with the capture of both, but stressed the importance of his midfield having a greater control in games.
"Rapid really rapid," he said when asked to assess the pair. "They're both good one-v-one players and that's what we need. We have to reach our target a bit more, and therefore maybe we need also our number eight, also our striker. If we try to score, it's a possibility to lose the ball as well, and therefore we have to prepare better the ball loss. It's not about only the wingers, but they can help us and they will do it, so it's good to have them."
