Tim Walter wants Hull City goal music - and everyone's saying the same thing
Hull City manager Tim Walter has said that he wants the club to try enhancing the atmosphere at home games using goal music - but Hull Live readers have given him a resounding "no" in our comments section.
The German boss secured his first home victory against Cardiff City last weekend thanks to four goals from summer newcomers Mohamed Belloumi, Oscar Zambrano and Chris Bedia. Walter spoke about the atmosphere at the MKM Stadium as Status Quo's Rocking All Over the World provided the soundtrack at full time.
He said: "We can do it even more, after scoring a goal, we can play music because I've never heard that here, so maybe we have to do it in our stadium as well. We try to bring all influences together, all mentalities, and that's what we're going to form, and it's good."

Music playing when scoring a goal is more common in other countries like Walter's Germany. It hasn't caught on much in Britain, and it's a touchy topic when it's brought up.
Reader Amberfrontline says: "Not for me. What makes a good atmosphere at any ground is a good exciting game. Creating chances and scoring goals. I do like the club's anthem played at the beginning and end of games."
Crabby clause writes: "We are Brits and we don't play music to celebrate goals... we just do our own thing largely yelling an screaming, more recently in disbelief that they can score rather than pass back most of the time. Music after scoring is not additional entertainment for me, but getting the ball on the centre spot soonest is. Sorry Walter, you might have music in Germany like the US sports do, but as we invented the game the supporters should be consulted first before any such changes."
Morecambetiger wants less music across the board: "I for one think that the music played right up to KO does not give the crowd a chance to be involved. No chanting, singing or banter, which all adds to the excitement."
Anfis says: "Mr Walter, we genuinely wish you all the success in the world. But please, we don't want VAR in the Championship and we certainly don't want music after goals. Just concentrate on the tactics, provide a winning team, and the fans will sort out the atmosphere."
Jonten writes "So the one time you can guarantee the fans will make a noise - when a goal goes in - people want to drown that out with music. Not quite sure how that adds to the atmosphere or helps the team really. Maybe more thought needed on that one."
Mouthofthehumber says: "Goal music -- NO Just NO. It's part of everything that is wrong with modern day football."
