Time to leave? Gianluigi Donnarumma reduced to tears after AC Milan fans target ‘parasite’ brother with banner

AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was reduced to tears after supporters unfurled a banner calling for him to leave the club.

The 18-year-old was consoled by team-mate Leonardo Bonucci as he broke down in the dressing room after AC Milan's 3-0 Coppa Italia victory over Verona.

During the game, fans produced a banner stretching across three sections of the San Siro which urged the player to quit the club, and took a swipe at his "parasite" brother.

It read: "Psychological violence by giving you €6million-a-season & signing your parasite brother? It's time to leave... our patience with you is over!"

It comes after reports in Italy's Gazetta dello Sport on Tuesday claimed the goalkeeper is ready to quit AC Milan after writing to the club to demand they tear up the new contract he signed in the summer.

In July, Donnarumma penned a deal until 2021 despite the club stating earlier in the summer that the goalkeeper would not be extending his previous contract, which was set to expire in the summer of 2018.

The player's agent, Mino Raiola, is reportedly urging the club to honour the initial deal.
