Back in May, Cork simply had to defeat the Munster and All-Ireland champions following back-to-back losses to Waterford and Clare.

In a classic Munster Championship encounter, Patrick Horgan’s last-gasp penalty gave his side a famous 3-28 to 3-26 win in Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

The All-Ireland Final is already guaranteed to be an all-Munster affair after Clare’s dramatic victory over Kilkenny.

The decider will either be a repeat of the 2013 final or a repeat of the last three Munster finals.
