A timelapse recording captured the stunning sight of the Milky Way spinning in the clear sky over a Tasmanian lake, which reflected the shining stars in its still waters.
The video was filmed at Arthurs Lake in the Tasmanian highlands by Fergus Gregory. He told Storyful that the timelapse was captured over a period of nearly four hours on May 22 as the lake froze over in the sub-zero temperatures.
Gregory said it was a spur-of-the-moment decision to film that night because of the unpredictable weather in the highlands of the Australian island state. Credit: Fergus Gregory via Storyful
