Timelapse Drone Footage Shows Smoke and Flames in Orange County as Wildfires Sweep Region

Fire crews battled multiple wildfires in Southern California on Tuesday, September 10, as red flag conditions continued in the region.

Timelapse drone footage captured by Magnus Bergheim shows smoke and flames from the Airport fire in Trabuco Canyon in Orange County on Monday night.

The Airport fire prompted evacuation orders and shelters were established nearby, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

Red flag conditions and excessive heat warnings were forecasted for the region until Wednesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

According to local media, the blaze was named the Airport fire because of its proximity to a “small facility for remote-controlled model airplanes near the mouth of Trabuco Canyon.” Credit: Magnus Bergheim via Storyful
