Timelapse Footage Captures Record Snowfall in New York State

Timelapse footage captured the dramatic buildup of record snowfall in Apalachin, New York, after a nor’easter swept though the East Coast on Friday, December 18.

This footage, originally uploaded to Twitter shows a backyard covered in thick snow as the storm hit the region overnight.

The snow was brought by a nor’easter as it moved along the US East Coast on December 16 and 17. Nearby town Binghamton recorded 42 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service., breaking their two-day snowfall record. Credit: @isixtyfive via Storyful
