Timelapse Footage Shows Lava Flow at Mauna Loa Overnight

Timelapse footage captured by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) shows lava flow at the Mauna Loa volcano in Hawaii from November 30 to December 1.

The USGS reported that the eruption at Mauna Loa started on Sunday, November 27.

On November 30, the USGS said that the lava flow from the eruption was about 3.6 miles from Saddle Road, a highway in the region. Credit: United States Geological Survey via Storyful
